Karachi:In the latest PSL 9 showdown, Peshawar Zalmi, led by Babar Azam, put up a formidable fight against Karachi Kings, setting a challenging target on a tricky wicket. With the first phase of the tournament concluding, the 29th match saw Karachi Kings facing off against Peshawar Zalmi at the National Stadium in Karachi. Winning the toss, Peshawar Zalmi’s captain, Babar Azam, opted to bat first.
While Peshawar Zalmi aimed to secure the top spot in the points table with a victory, Karachi Kings found themselves out of contention for the playoff stage. Despite facing difficulties on the batting front after winning the toss, Peshawar Zalmi managed to post a total of 147 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in their allotted 20 overs, largely thanks to Babar Azam’s responsible innings of 51 runs.
