Pakistan Tennis Team Dominates Nepal in South Asia ATF 12 and Under Team Competition

Islamabad ( NNP) – In a stellar display of skill and teamwork, the Pakistan tennis team triumphed over host Nepal with a decisive 3-0 victory in the ATF 12 and Under Team Competition Regional Qualifying Event of South Asia. This marks the second consecutive win for Pakistan in the ongoing tournament held in Kathmandu, Nepal.

The Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) announced on Tuesday that the national team continued its impressive performance on the second day of the event. In the first singles match, Rashid Ali Bachani dominated Dalakoti Basho Bashesh of Nepal, securing a win in straight sets with scores of 6-3 and 6-0.

Following this, Muhammad Shayan Afridi delivered another strong performance in the second singles match, defeating Nepal’s Gunwali Nashul with identical set scores of 6-1, 6-1. The success continued in the doubles match where the duo of Shayan Afridi and Muhammad Junaid Khan overwhelmed Nepal’s Dalakoti Basho Bashesh and Alam Shahnawaz, winning 6-1, 6-1.

The Pakistani team is set to face Sri Lanka next on Wednesday. The event features teams from seven countries, divided into two groups: Group A consists of India, Bangladesh, and Maldives, while Group B includes Pakistan, Bhutan, Nepal, and Sri Lanka.

Pakistan’s consistent performance highlights their potential as strong contenders in the regional tennis arena.
