Pakistan National Council of the Arts Hosts Photo Exhibition Commemorating Joint Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan and Pakistan
Islamabad, [1st December, 2023] – The Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) proudly inaugurated a captivating Photo Exhibition to celebrate the 31st Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Pakistan and Uzbekistan. This significant event, held at the PNCA premises, is a testament to the enduring cultural ties and shared heritage between the two nations.
The Exhibition was inaugurated by Mr. Oybek Usmanov, the esteemed Ambassador of Uzbekistan, Federal Ministerfor National Heritage and Culture, Syed Jamal Shah along with M. Ayoub Jamali, Director General PNCA.
His Excellency Mr. Oybek Usmanov, the esteemed Ambassador of Uzbekistan, delivered an eloquent speech during the opening ceremony, expressing gratitude to all attendees and highlighting the historical significance of the diplomatic ties. He acknowledged the pivotal role of the protocol signed in Ashkhabad, Turkmenistan, on May 10, 1992, commemorating the establishment of diplomatic relations, showcasing a copy of this historical document at the exhibition.
During his address, the Ambassador extended heartfelt appreciation to Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture, Mr. Syed Jamal Shah, for his unwavering support and guidance in organizing this remarkable event. He also commended Mr. Muhammad Ayoub Jamali, DG Pakistan National Council of Arts, and his team for their indispensable contributions and excellent cooperation in arranging the exhibition.
Additionally, the Ambassador warmly greeted two distinguished Pakistani Ambassadors, Mr. Irfan Yusuf Shami and Mr. Riaz Ahmad Bukhari, acknowledging their tireless efforts in promoting bilateral relations.
Federal Minister Syed Jamal Shah, in his remarks, emphasized the exhibition’s role in portraying the beauty, diversity, and historical resonance embedded within the joint cultural heritage of Uzbekistan and Pakistan. He described it as a visual narrative, weaving together the threads of shared traditions, artistic expressions, and the enduring legacy that continues to foster friendship and collaboration between the two countries.
The exhibition, a collaborative effort, presents a retrospective collection of historical photographs showcasing the active and dynamic interactions between leaders of Uzbekistan and Pakistan. It notably highlights the contributions made by leaders, ministers, diplomats, and officials from both countries over the past three decades, fostering stronger bilateral ties.
The Minister reiterated the importance of cultural diplomacy in strengthening bonds and promoting mutual understanding between Uzbekistan and Pakistan. He expressed confidence in the exhibition’s role as a bridge, connecting the shared history and cultural affinities of both nations.
The exhibition stands as a testament to the unwavering commitment to cultural diplomacy and fostering stronger bonds between Uzbekistan and Pakistan.
The exhibition will be open to public till the 3rd December, 2023.
