Pakistan Makes Historic Leap with Launch of iCube Qamar Satellite

Islambad (NNP) In a landmark achievement for Pakistan’s space endeavors, the nation’s eagerly anticipated space mission has embarked on its journey towards the moon. Scheduled to be launched from China’s Henan Space Launch Site, the historic moment was marked with the departure of Pakistan’s first astronaut, set to join the International Space Station crew.

Named iCube Qamar, the satellite, jointly developed by China’s Shanghai University and Sparco, represents a significant collaboration in space exploration. Equipped with two optical cameras, iCube Qamar aims to capture detailed images of the lunar surface, contributing invaluable data for research purposes.
