Islamabad (NNP) Member of the National Assembly, Anjum Aqeel Khan, recently attended a National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) program as a special guest, where he highlighted the importance of quality education for all children, especially those out of school. The event was graced by notable figures, including NCHD Director Habibullah, Coordinator Madam Nasreen Ashraf, along with Azam Khan, Numdar Saleem, Malik Younis Awan, Malik Imran, teachers, and other education officials.
In his address, Anjum Aqeel Khan praised the efforts of the NCHD, calling the program “an excellent project” aimed at expanding educational opportunities for children who lack access to formal schooling. “With around 170 schools in NA-46 operating under the guidance of Coordinator Madam Nasreen Ashraf, the commitment of the teachers who manage classes of 25 to 30 students each is commendable,” he noted.
Recognizing the challenges faced by educators, Khan distributed school supplies and toys to support their efforts. He emphasized that the future of young students lies in the hands of dedicated teachers, who now have the responsibility of utilizing resources effectively. He also highlighted the federal government’s commitment to education, pointing to the recently declared education emergency by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
“This government is equipping you with all the necessary resources,” Khan stated, encouraging the educators to take proactive steps to transform the education landscape in their communities.
