We are pleased to announce that Kenneyz Group Holdings (KGH) has today acquired a major stake in a film studio complex henceforth to be known as Kenneyz Media City (formerly Karawood Film City). While joining hands with two of the founding partners, KGH has been entrusted with management control.
Kenneyz Media City (KMC) sits on 4 acres of land in Korangi, with four large and well equipped Sound Stages, make-up rooms and other support facilities, as well as land for outside set designs and future expansion.
The Kenneyz Group also operates a market leading camera rental business through its subsidiary Kenneyz Productions, and is about to open a state-of-the-art Music Studio in its premises on Nishat Commercial. KGH intends to use this acquisition to develop synergies between film and drama production and music composition, recordings and music video creation, amplifying our social media presence. This acquisition will also act as a springboard to launch a film lighting business as well as further development of our Vanity Van fleet and the provision of ancillary power supply for location shoots.
Agnes Kenney, KGH CEO, said: “We look forward to welcoming existing and new clients to experience all that Kenneyz Media City has to offer, a new ‘one stop shop’ for cinematographers and all those involved in making magic on screen”.
