US President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump have won four of the primary elections held in five states on Tuesday.
With success in these states, both politicians have won more delegates for their respective parties’ presidential nominations.
Both easily won Democratic and Republican primaries in Illinois, Ohio, and Kansas.
President Biden has already secured the 1968 delegates needed for the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination. Former President Trump has also secured the 1,215 delegates required for the Republican nomination.
These two leaders will now compete in the presidential election on November 5. However, the nominations of the two leaders will be formally announced by the political parties in this year’s conventions.
