International Institute for Central Asia, Pakistan’s CRCSF Sign MoU to Strengthen Regional Research Cooperation

Tashkent:The International Institute for Central Asia (IICA) and Pakistan’s Center for Regional Connectivity with a Shared Future (CRCSF) have formally entered into a research partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking a significant step toward enhancing academic and policy cooperation between Central Asia and South Asia.The MoU was signed by Ambassador Javlon Vakhabov, Head of the International Institute for Central Asia, and Tahir Farooq, Head of the Center for Regional Connectivity with a Shared Future. The signing ceremony took place at the headquarters of the International Institute for Central Asia in Tashkent.The event was attended by Muhammad Abbas Khan, Director for Central Asia, along with officials and research teams from both institutions.Speaking on the occasion, Tahir Farooq lauded Uzbekistan’s proactive and visionary role in advancing regional cooperation. He noted that Uzbekistan has played a pivotal role in promoting stability, dialogue, and regional connectivity, while contributing to the emergence of a new model of engagement based on cooperation, inclusivity, and shared development.Both sides expressed confidence that the partnership will pave the way for joint research initiatives, policy dialogue, and greater collaboration aimed at strengthening regional connectivity and mutual understanding between Central and South Asia.
