Islamabad (PID AJK), 12 March 2024: A delegation led by Deputy Chairman and CEO of Hashu Group, Murtaza Hashwani, met with Prime Minister Azad Kashmir Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq today. During the meeting, Mr. Hashwani expressed willingness to invest further in Azad Kashmir. Prime Minister Haq highlighted significant investment opportunities in tourism, hydropower generation, and other sectors in the region. He emphasized the potential for employment creation through partnerships like the one between TEVTA and Hashu Group. The Prime Minister also expressed optimism regarding the memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Hashu Group and the government of Azad Kashmir, which aims to promote investment in education, tourism, and other sectors. Additionally, he mentioned the government’s initiative to provide interest-free loans to skilled youth to address unemployment. Senior officials including Minister for TEVTA Sardar Amir Altaf and Chief Secretary Dawood Muhammad Barich were also present at the meeting.
