Islambad (NNP) H.E. Jemal Beker Abdula, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Democratic Republic of #Ethiopia to the Islamic Republic of #Pakistan, on Thursday addressed as a keynote speaker on the Ethio-Pakistan ties at the launch of the Pakistan Africa Institute for Development and Research (PAIDAR) by the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad.
PAIDAR’s President H.E. Mushahid Hussain Syed along with other important guests including ISSI Director General H.E. Ambassador (R) Sohail Mahmood; Dean of the African Envoys Corps and Moroccan Ambassador H.E. Mohammed Karmoune; Kenyan High Commissioner H.E. Mary Nyambura Kamau; Pakistan’s High Commissioner to South Africa H.E. Aftab Hassan; Pakistan’s Ambassador to Ethiopia and African Union H.E. Atif Sharif Mian; and others were also present on the launching ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, H.E. Ambassador Jemal Beker Abdula highlighted the importance of entering in African markets through Ethiopia which is a gateway to the African continent of more than 1.4 billion people.
He also lauded the #LookAfrica and #EngageAfrica Initiative of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and reiterated the commitment of the Government of Ethiopia for connecting Pakistan with Africa.
