ISLAMABAD: Senior leader of Pakistan Muslim League-N and District Nazim, Nazir-ur-Rehman Usmani, while speaking to the media, emphasized the spirit of Eid ul Adha as a time of joy, sacrifice, and compassion.
He said that as the blessed occasion of Eid arrives, it is important to remember its true essence — sharing with others, especially the underprivileged. “People enjoy meat throughout the year, but this is the time to think of those who cannot afford it,” he stated. “Distribute the meat of the sacrifice generously among the poor so they, too, can celebrate with dignity.”
Nazir-ur-Rehman Usmani also urged citizens to continue praying for the peace, prosperity, and security of Pakistan. “Always keep our beloved homeland in your prayers. May Allah keep Pakistan safe and strong. Ameen,” he added.
Eid ul Adha, also known as the “Festival of Sacrifice,” commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) to sacrifice his son in obedience to Allah’s command. It is marked by the sacrifice of animals and the sharing of meat with family, friends, and those in need.
