MARDAN (NNP) Earthquake tremors were felt across various parts of Mardan district on Saturday, including Takhtbhai, Rustam, Bakhshali, and Garhi Kapora, sparking panic among residents.
According to reports from a private TV channel, the earthquake measured 5.9 on the Richter scale. The epicenter was located near the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border, with a depth of 94 kilometers beneath the earth’s surface.
Although the tremors caused fear and anxiety among the population, no casualties or property damage have been reported so far.
Authorities are continuing to monitor the situation and have urged citizens to remain calm while observing safety precautions during after shocks.
