Chairman Khod Mukhtar Tehreek Dr. Mohsin Hassan joins PTI

 

ISLAMABAD – June 10, 2025 (NNP) Dr. Mohsin Hassan, Chairman of Khod Mukhtar Tehreek and a well-known pediatrician and social activist, has officially joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), marking a significant addition to the party’s cadre of professionals and technocrats. Describing his entry as an “honour” and a “dream fulfilled,” Dr. Hassan expressed his full confidence in the leadership of former prime minister Imran Khan.

Speaking to the media following his formal induction into the party, Dr. Hassan thanked PTI Secretary General Omar Ayub Khan and senior leader Ali Bokhari for welcoming him into the fold. “I am ready to play my part in PTI’s mission of democratic reform, transparency, and public service,” he said.

Dr.  Mohsin  holds an M.B.B.S. from King Edward Medical University and a Diploma in Child Health (D.C.H.) from Australia. A respected figure in both national and international medical circles, he has dedicated his career to pediatric healthcare. He previously served as a Community Welfare Attaché in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), where he worked closely with the Pakistani diaspora and engaged in community welfare initiatives.

Currently residing in Islamabad, Dr. Mohsin   remains deeply involved in public health and social development efforts. His entry into PTI is being seen by political observers as a strategic step in the party’s efforts to bring more professionals into mainstream politics, especially in anticipation of upcoming electoral contests.

Dr. Mohsin  also hails from a family with a strong political background. He is the son-in-law of the late Syed Kabir Ali Wasti, a veteran politician who was associated with the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and played a notable role in the Movement for the Restoration of Democracy (MRD) alongside Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and Begum Nusrat Bhutto during the 1980s.

With a unique blend of medical, diplomatic, and grassroots experience, Dr. Hassan is expected to contribute significantly to PTI’s policy-making, particularly in healthcare and community development. He reaffirmed his dedication to serving the people of Pakistan in alignment with PTI’s core values of accountability, good governance, and social justice.
