Islamabad, May 20: On the directives of the Zonal Commissioner, Corporate Tax Office (CTO) Islamabad, a raid was conducted by the Deputy Commissioner Inland Revenue and her team on the premises of Eiffile Civil & EM Private Limited over alleged non-compliance in audit proceedings.The enforcement action was carried out under Section 175 of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001, which authorizes tax officials to enter and search premises where relevant records are believed to be maintained or concealed.Eiffile Civil & EM (Pvt) Ltd, a registered taxpayer under CTO Islamabad, is engaged in construction, civil engineering, and land development projects. The raid followed the company’s repeated failure to comply with audit requirements under Section 177 of the Ordinance, including non-submission of books of accounts and relevant documentation.During the operation, various financial records, electronic data, and documents were recovered and seized for further examination. The material will be scrutinized to assess any discrepancies in declared income and compliance with tax laws.Further proceedings are currently underway.
