It’s an open fact that our public is sacrificing nearly all basic needs to keep the life running and when the public see the living style of state officials from top to bottom then contrast is visualized to conclude that state resources are not utilized in the best interest of nation & country. The concept of a welfare state is felt confined to the constitution and Islam & teachings of Islam are not truly promoted as per prime objective of our Independence. This situation demands the immediate attention of our president, chief justice, prime minister and chief ministers besides the other influential. The country must not remain dependent on IMF & other institution loans. The simplicity in all state affairs is the need of the hour.
We see there are many state-paid for visits abroad of VIPs, including visits for health check-ups and treatments, luxury tours. There is spending on a fleet of expensive cars for local travel and extraordinary security measures besides other benefits & allowances. The country’s people, on the other hand, see that their lives are put on hold whether it is feeding their families, earning a living, schooling, health treatment. Water and sanitation conditions across the country, education and health facilities in government institutions and hospitals and high crime rates in majority cities is proof of where their priorities lie. I think there is an urgent need to review our existing policies to provide the public what they need and to build the nation & country as per the objective resolution of the constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
