BEIJING: China has called for an immediate ceasefire, calling the ongoing war in Gaza a “shame for human civilization”.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said in a press conference in Beijing that it is a tragedy for humanity and a shame for human civilization that even in the 21st century this human catastrophe cannot be stopped.
The Chinese Foreign Minister urged the international community to take immediate action to make the cessation of hostilities in Gaza and the end of the ongoing atrocities there a priority and to realize its moral responsibility to make immediate humanitarian relief possible.
