MARDAN:An awareness rally was held from College Chowk to Press Club regarding world Thalassemia Day organized by “Omed Ki Kiran Foundation”(OKF) Mardan On Thursday.The walk was led by Imran Khan, Chairman of Omeed Ki Kiran Foundation.Students and civil society participated in large numbers in the walk.
Chairman Imran Khan while addressing said that there is a need for public awareness to prevent thalassemia.The purpose of celebrating this day is to raise awareness about thalassemia among the people.
Every patient of thalassemia deserves the special attention of the society. To avoid this disease, thalassemia tests must be done before marriage so that the child coming into this world can be protected from this disease.
Thalassemia Awareness Day is celebrated May Month every year.so it is our duty to create awareness among people about this disease.
