Lahore: Tuesday, 16 December 2025. The Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (PCBDDA), also known as Central Business District Punjab (CBD Punjab), is accelerating infrastructure development at CBD NSIT City, Pakistan’s first and largest IT City, with construction activities progressing at a rapid pace.
As part of the ongoing development work, 5,000 running sq.ft of asphaltic base course has been successfully laid on the 250ft wide Main Circular Road, marking a key milestone in the execution of this flagship project. The progress reflects CBD Punjab’s strong commitment to timely execution and delivery of high-quality infrastructure.
Contractors and heavy machinery remain fully mobilized at the site to ensure uninterrupted progress across all components of the project, with multiple development activities continuing simultaneously in accordance with approved timelines.
Commenting on the progress, Executive Director Technical, CBD Punjab, Riaz Hussain, stated that construction work is advancing swiftly. He added that approximately 700 tons of asphalt are being laid in a single shift, while development of other infrastructure components is also being carried out at an accelerated pace.
Reaffirming the authority’s vision, CEO CBD Punjab, Imran Amin, emphasized CBD Punjab’s commitment to developing international-standard infrastructure at CBD NSIT City. He stated that infrastructure forms the foundation of any successful development and confirmed that all contractors have been issued clear instructions to maintain the highest quality standards throughout the construction process.
CBD NSIT City is being developed as a state-of-the-art IT and innovation hub, aimed at supporting Pakistan’s growing digital economy through world-class infrastructure, modern urban planning, and sustainable development practices. The project represents a major step forward in CBD Punjab’s mission to create future-ready urban developments that drive economic growth and technological advancement in the province.
