British High Commissioner Ms. Jane Marriott and Azad Jammu and Kashmir President Barrister Sultan Chaudhary Discuss Bilateral Issues and Collaboration

Mirpur:British High Commissioner Ms. Jane Marriott, along with a high-level delegation from the British High Commission, visited Chechian Mirpur, the native residence of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry, for a detailed meeting. The delegation included Mr. Richard Lindsay, Head of the Pakistan and Afghanistan Security Operations Department in the British Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Sam Sherman, Head of the Regional Security Team of the British High Commission, Councilor Albert David, Second Secretary of the British High Commission Mr. Russ Macpartland, Head of Communication of the British High Commission Ms. Sneha Lala, Design and Digital Officer of the British High Commission Aakash Ashraf, and the political advisor of the British High Commission Miss Adeela Khan.

During the meeting, President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry and British High Commissioner Miss Jane Marriott held a one-on-one discussion on various topics. These included the challenges faced by overseas Kashmiris living in the UK, British government investment in Azad Kashmir, the impact of climate change in the region, and strategies to address these issues. The conversation aimed at deciding an action plan.

Furthermore, President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry and British High Commissioner Ms. Jane Marriott met with various delegations of Kashmiris residing in the UK to listen to and address the problems faced by immigrants. The discussions also covered other issues of mutual interest between the two parties.
