Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar Haq met with former Prime Minister Sardar Attique Ahmad Khan at Jammu and Kashmir House in Islamabad. The leaders engaged in discussions regarding the situation in occupied Kashmir, addressing political and mutual interest issues. They emphasized that the revocation of the special status of Occupied Kashmir is a clear violation of international laws and UN resolutions on Kashmir. They criticized the biased decisions of the Indian Supreme Court, noting that such actions have further escalated tensions.
Chaudhry Anwar Haq stated that the Kashmiri people neither accept India’s oppressive military occupation of Occupied Kashmir nor acknowledge the questionable decisions of the Indian Supreme Court. In response, they adopted a unified stance during the All Parties Jammu and Kashmir Conference and proposed a plan of action. Subsequently, a meeting for the defense of self-determination was organized in Kotli under the auspices of the Jammu and Kashmir Hurriyat Council, with the participation of political, religious, and Hurriyat leaders.
- The leaders expressed their commitment to raising their voices for the right to self-determination and urged the United Nations to implement its resolutions. They aim to establish the state as a true base camp for the freedom movement. Additionally, they highlighted their active efforts towards the implementation of good governance in the state, emphasizing their dedication to serving the people without any compromise.
Former Prime Minister Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan affirmed his ongoing support for the government in promoting the Kashmiri freedom movement. He emphasized that collective efforts will be made to compel India to address the Kashmir issue. Furthermore, he commended the Prime Minister’s initiatives for good governance.
