Renowned Pakistani actress Saba Qamar, who has showcased her acting talent in both Pakistan and India, recently shared the reason behind her reluctance to wear expensive designer outfits.
In a previously recorded interview on a private TV channel’s morning show, which has gone viral again on social media, Saba Qamar disclosed a peculiar habit that influences her fashion choices.
Responding to the host’s question, Qamar revealed, “I have a strange habit of smelling people. Whenever someone passes by, whether a man or a woman, I instinctively sniff them. I know it’s an odd habit, but I have a very sensitive nose.”
She further explained that her strong preference for cleanliness is the main reason she avoids wearing costly designer clothes.
“I’m very particular about hygiene and refuse to compromise on it. Even if something is worth millions, I’ll refuse it if it doesn’t meet my cleanliness standards.”
The actress mentioned that while many other actresses wear designer outfits on set without any reservations, she cannot do so without first ensuring they are odour-free.
“If I detect an unpleasant smell, I immediately refuse to wear the expensive designer clothes,” she said.
Notable among her works are Baaghi, where she portrayed the controversial life of Qandeel Baloch, and Cheekh.
Her role in Maat further cemented her reputation as a versatile and powerful actress in the Pakistani television industry.
Qamar’s ability to tackle complex characters has made her a household name, with her dramas consistently drawing high viewership and critical praise.
