FJWU Library Celebrates World Book and Copyright Day with Engaging Activities

RAWALPINDI (NNP) Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) Library marked World Book and Copyright Day with a series of vibrant activities, captivating attendees throughout the day. The celebrations featured book reviews, poetry readings, book stalls from renowned publishers, and the distribution of certificates to dedicated library users.

Dr. Akifa Imtiaz from the Department of English provided an insightful review of “The Art of Laziness,” while Dr. Nadeem Fakhar from the Department of Computer Science delved into “Zawiya,” offering attendees a deeper understanding of these literary works.

A student from the Department of International Relations shared poems from her collection, adding a personal and creative touch to the event.

The highlight of the celebration was the recognition of active library users, book club participants, and volunteers through the distribution of certificates. These individuals have significantly contributed to fostering a culture of reading and learning within the library community. Dr. Faiza Azhar Khan, Chair of the Library Committee, distributed the certificates and expressed her gratitude to the speakers and participants in her closing remarks.

The event also featured book stalls by the National Book Foundation and Oxford University Press, giving students the opportunity to explore and purchase a wide range of books. The day concluded with a sense of achievement and enthusiasm for continued literary engagement.
