Modern Political Leadership

London (NNP) Truly remarkable national leadership is hardly found across the globe. Statesmen like Bismark are extinct and a relic of the past. The will power of Churchill is something that is found in history books. Churchill stood up before doom and gloom during the second world war, he never gave up, he worked hard against all odds and finally won the war. Great Leaders leave great legacies by changing the course of history.

A great Leader is keen to learn the basics of new subjects, is vigilant on new matters, keeps a highly competent pace on all matters, is fully focused, meets dead-lines effectively and guides all those around him in Government. Actions always speak much louder than words. Grand sentences mean nothing if there is no intention of implementing them.

There are two types of politicians, one is an opportunist and the other is an idealist. The opportunist focuses on personal opportunities which can be detrimental whilst the idealist focuses on the bigger picture and as a result naturally has the ability directly and/or indirectly to achieve great results.

Nowadays, some politicians speak casually without giving due consideration as to which direction they are taking. Some politicians speak like parrots repeating the same statement again and again. Some politicians are not even articulate and have great difficulties in verbal skills.

Politicians should follow etiquettes, traditions and have remarkable manners. They should positively criticise opponents with great care. Talk is free and cheap and therefore, to show ones metal there must be delivery on core issues.

As far as the public is concerned sometimes they have a limited choice as regards obtaining effective leadership. Nations suffer where there is a weak, ineffective and incompetent leadership. It is the duty of leadership to represent a nation at all levels and in particular at the international level.

Leadership needs to focus on inter alia speeches, policies, economics, foriegn policy, defence, state stability, trade deals, law and order, human rights and education.

Great Leaders exist amongst men/women and by good luck or once in a blue moon do they come forward to change the destiny of a nation. The art of leadership needs to be understood and practiced by national leaders.

Leadership needs competent advisors and experts for inter alia the following; advice on matters, preparation of unique and mind blowing speeches, new ideas, new policies, political strategy, how to achieve results and how to win the hearts and minds of the nation.

The new image of a diamond needs to be designed, the diamond needs to be cut accordingly and finally the diamond is polished so that it shines forever.
