Islamabad (NNP) The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) finds itself in a quandary as it grapples with the challenge of organizing the much-anticipated National Challenge Cup. With just weeks left before kick-off, the PFF is scrambling to secure a venue amidst mounting difficulties.
According to sources within the sports fraternity, the PFF’s initial plans hit a roadblock when the Sports Board Punjab declined to provide access to the coveted Punjab Stadium. Citing prior commitments, the board expressed its inability to accommodate the football event, as the stadium is already earmarked for the prestigious Pink Games scheduled from May 2 to 6.
“The decision not to provide the stadium was due to our busy schedule,” remarked a spokesperson from the Punjab Sports Board, underscoring the logistical challenges faced by the organization.
Undeterred by the setback, the PFF swiftly mobilized efforts to explore alternative venues for the tournament. With the National Challenge Cup slated to run from May 1 to 12, time is of the essence as the federation races against the clock to finalize arrangements.
