Arrest Made in Shooting Incident Outside Salman Khan’s Mumbai Residence

Mumbai (Web Desk) Mumbai Police have arrested two persons who opened fire outside the house of Bollywood star Salman Khan late on Monday night.

The men were arrested from the city in the western state of Gujarat from where they had fled.

Police have identified them as Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, both residents of Champaran district in the northeastern state of Bihar.

Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Lakmi Gautam told Indian media that the men had fled from Mumbai to Surat and then reached Bhuj.

Lakme Gautam told The Indian Express: “They are being brought to Mumbai where they will be produced in court. We will interrogate the accused to find out who gave them the task of firing.

Earlier on Sunday, two unknown motorcycle-borne persons opened fire outside the house of well-known actor Salman Khan.

Mumbai Police sources told The Indian Express that CCTV footage revealed that the suspects hailed from Gurugram in the northern state of Haryana and were part of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang.

The accused fired a shot on the first floor of Salman Khan’s apartment, which hit the wall next to the front balcony, and then fled by firing in the air. Police recovered five bullet casings and one unexploded round from the spot.

Forensic analysis revealed that the suspects used a 7.62 caliber weapon.

One of the suspects has been identified as a man named Vishal who was arrested in 2020 for stealing a motorcycle and sent to Tihar Jail in the Indian capital, Delhi.
