Pakistan International Airlines Slashes Fares for Umrah Pilgrims and Saudi Visa Holders

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced a significant reduction in fares for Umrah pilgrims, Saudi resident visa holders, and work visa holders.

The airline has slashed fares by 30%, providing an affordable option for those embarking on religious journeys or travelling for work purposes.

As per details, passengers travelling to Jeddah and Madinah will be able to benefit from the reduced fares from April 7 to April 11, 2024. Additionally, passengers heading to Riyadh and Dammam will also enjoy discounted fares until April 11.

In a move to further support Umrah pilgrims, PIA has lowered fares by up to 20%. The fare reduction will be applicable during the specified dates, from April 7 to April 11.

Moreover, the economy class fare has been reduced by up to Rs50,000, making air travel more accessible and affordable for passengers.

The announcement of reduced fares comes as a welcome development for travellers, especially during the holy month of Ramazan, when many individuals undertake Umrah journeys.

Previously, on November 3, 2003, PIA announced immediate reduction in Umrah fares by up to Rs6,000. The new fares were applied immediately and applicable to travelling to Jeddah from Lahore, Islamabad, Sialkot, Peshawar, Multan, and Faisalabad.

According to a PIA spokesperson, the two-way Umrah fare from these cities to Jeddah was Rs87,000, excluding tax, while the fare was Rs79,000 from Karachi and Quetta.
