Islamabad(NNP)JUI-F Senator (retd) Talha Mahmood declared his allegiance to the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) during a press conference, joined by PPP leaders. Mahmood emphasized the country’s current crisis and praised the PPP’s historical efforts to address national challenges. Highlighting his extensive experience, Mahmood noted his nine-year tenure in the Ministry of Interior’s cabinet committee and his chairmanship of the Senate’s Standing Committee on Finance since 2021. Additionally, PPP leader Faisal Karim Kundi discussed plans to bolster the party’s presence in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, hinting at surprises in the upcoming Senate elections. Mahmood addressed speculation about differences with JUI-F chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman, stating his decision was based on the PPP’s political platform. He also alleged electoral malpractice by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) during the recent general elections.
