The second day of the National Shooting Championship witnessed yet another flurry of record-breaking performances, with the Pakistan Navy team clinching another remarkable feat in Paran Rifle shooting.While the Army shooters displayed exceptional skills, securing four gold medals, it’s the Navy that currently holds the top spot with an impressive tally of seven gold medals. However, Army’s Imam Haroon narrowly missed setting a new national record by just one point.
At the PNS Karsaz Shooting Range, the 50m Paran Rifle Team event witnessed the Navy setting a new record, scoring 1853.4 points with a team of three shooters, surpassing their previous record of 1848.7 points.In the Skate Olympics event, Army’s Imam Haroon fell short of a new record by a single point, scoring 55 out of 60 against the previous record of 56 out of 60.The competition between the Army and Navy shooters remained intense, with the Navy securing four additional gold medals, bringing their total to seven.
Currently, the Navy leads with 7 gold, 4 silver, and 2 bronze medals, followed by Pakistan Army in second place with 4 gold, 6 silver, and 3 bronze medals.
WAPDA holds third place with one silver medal, followed by Sindh in fourth place with three bronze medals, and Pakistan Air Force in fifth place with three bronze medals.
