Uzbekistan Strongly Condemns Houthi Attack on Riyadh Airport, Expresses Solidarity with Saudi Arabia
TASHKENT: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan has strongly condemned the deadly Houthi attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, expressing deep shock over the tragic loss of innocent lives and injuries to civilians.In a statement, Uzbekistan extended its heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and expressed sincere sympathy to all those affected by the attack. It also wished the injured a swift and full recovery.
Uzbekistan reaffirmed its unwavering support for the sovereignty, territorial integrity and security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, emphasizing that attacks against civilians and civilian infrastructure constitute a serious violation of international law and must cease immediately.The ministry stressed that protecting civilian lives and safeguarding critical infrastructure must remain an absolute priority. It called for an immediate end to such attacks and urged all parties to exercise restraint, prevent further escalation and resolve differences through dialogue and diplomatic means, in accordance with international law and the principles of the United Nations Charter.Reiterating its solidarity with the brotherly people and Government of Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan reaffirmed its commitment to promoting peace, stability and security across the region.
