February 23, 2026: aik by BankIslami has enabled fully digital payments across all passenger touchpoints at Islamabad International Airport. Travelers and visitors can now complete transactions without cash across the airport environment.Merchants across the airport have been onboarded, and QR code deployments have been integrated at key touchpoints.
This will allow passengers and visitors to make secure, seamless, and Shariah-compliant digital transactions at all counters, retail outlets, and service points. The implementation complies with the regulations and framework set by the SBP and is a working model for a large-scale adoption of cashless systems in public infrastructure.T
