IMF Resident Representative Mahir Binici Visits RCCI, Discusses Pakistan’s Economic Outlook

Rawalpindi: Mr. Mahir Binici, Resident Representative of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Pakistan, visited the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (RCCI) and held an interactive session with members of the business community on Pakistan’s economic situation, reform agenda, and private sector challenges.Mr. Binici was warmly received by RCCI President Mr. Usman Shaukat, Group Leader Mr. Sohail Altaf, former presidents, members of the Executive Committee, and a large number of chamber members.
The RCCI leadership welcomed the IMF’s engagement with the business community and appreciated the initiative of directly consulting the private sector to incorporate its recommendations.In his welcome address, RCCI President Mr. Usman Shaukat stated that Pakistan’s macroeconomic indicators have shown visible improvement due to IMF-supported policy reforms. He expressed hope that macroeconomic stabilization would gradually lead to positive trickle-down effects, strengthening microeconomic indicators and providing relief to businesses and consumers.
