The hearing of the case related to enforced disappearances in the Supreme Court was adjourned till tomorrow.
A 3-member bench headed by Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa heard, Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar and Justice Musarat Hilali are part of the bench.
Several people, including Aitzaz Ahsan, have filed petitions against enforced disappearances.
Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa remarked that the problem of missing persons will be solved when we all solve it together, the problem will be solved when we all fulfill our responsibilities. It would be good if the Attorney General comes and listens here.
Cannot order Parliament to legislate: Chief Justice
The Chief Justice asked whether the Supreme Court can order the Parliament to enact legislation. We believe that every institution should stay within its limits, we cannot order Parliament to legislate, the law has become the Supreme Court Practice and Procedure Act, read it, we believed that the issue of missing persons is important. So the case was filed.
Khushdil Khan Malik, petitioner of missing persons, said that the court should order the government to enact legislation related to enforced disappearances.
