Deputy Chairman Senate Engages Diverse Delegations, Stresses Unity for National Progress

ISLAMABAD — Deputy Chairman Senate Syedal Khan met delegations from a wide range of sectors at Parliament House, underscoring the importance of institutional harmony and collective efforts to steer the country toward sustainable development.The delegations included doctors, lawyers, students, social workers, civil society representatives, tribal elders, business leaders, traders, and investors.Speaking during the interaction, the Deputy Chairman said the government — in cooperation with its coalition partners — is taking effective steps to promote development, prosperity, and social cohesion nationwide. He stressed that close coordination among institutions, along with cooperation between federal and provincial governments, is essential for economic stability and national progress.Syedal Khan said the government is moving forward while taking all stakeholders on board, adding that the “positive outcomes are now being felt by the public.” He cited the reduction in petroleum prices as a key measure aimed at providing relief to citizens.Expressing optimism about the future, he said the day is not far when Pakistanis will have access to facilities comparable with those in developed nations. He highlighted the vital role of civil society in promoting social harmony, constructive thinking, and sustainable development.The Deputy Chairman also urged students, doctors, lawyers, and social sector representatives to actively contribute to national development — encouraging students to pursue quality education, lawyers to uphold constitutional responsibilities and support reforms, and doctors to strengthen public healthcare.Members of the delegations expressed confidence in the Deputy Chairman’s leadership and reaffirmed their commitment to cooperate for the country’s progress and prosperity.
