Muzaffarabad: Chairperson Khan of Mong Foundation,Ms.Khola Khan, strongly condemned Israel’s reported dropping of 2,000 pounds of bombs on Gaza.According to The New York Times research report, Israel allegedly conducted airstrikes in southern Gaza using 2,000-pound bombs. The extensive use of such powerful munitions is unprecedented in recent conflicts. Khan claimed that Israel’s actions amount to systematic genocide against Palestinians under the guise of targeting Hamas, resulting in a devastating toll on the population, with over 20,000 casualties in Gaza.
Citing The New York Times report,Khola Khan asserted that 8,076 children and over 6,000 women have lost their lives in the conflict. Additionally, she highlighted the United Nations’ concerns about potential life-threatening malnutrition for at least 10,000 children under the age of five in Gaza in the coming weeks. The UN also expressed worries about the well-being of 135,000 children under two and more than 155,000 pregnant and lactating Palestinian women in the Gaza Strip.
In light of these alarming statistics, Khan posed a poignant question: How many more lives, particularly those of children and women, must be lost before Israel and the international community take decisive action to halt the ongoing conflict?
