According to the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir participated in the Christmas celebrations at Christ Church in Rawalpindi, on this occasion he extended Christmas greetings to all the Christian community living in Pakistan. ISPR has said that on this occasion, the Army Chief stressed the need to promote inter-faith harmony in the society to implement the true vision of the leader for a united and progressive Pakistan, the challenges faced by the Army Chief. And also stressed the importance of having correct perspective, truth and knowledge based opinions on national issues instead of rhetoric and propaganda to deal with the problems.
General Asim Munir said that Islam teaches us the lesson of peace, friendship and encourages inter-faith harmony which is the need of the hour, as Pakistan’s enemies use religious, ethnic and political weaknesses to create rifts. However, we have to unite and unite to emerge as a determined and strong nation.
