Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) Visual Arts Division successfully organized a Pocket Knife Woodcarving Workshop, conducted by renowned artists Kamran Qureshi and Ahsan Qureshi, on Monday 18 august 2025, from 11 am to 4 pm. The workshop focused on wood carving techniques and garnered an enthusiastic response from participants, who actively engaged and enjoyed the hands-on experience.
Visual Arts Division organized this unique workshop to foster creativity and practical learning. The artists’ objective was to impart this unique skill to participants from different age groups, enabling them to benefit from it in the future. Kamran Qureshi guided participants through a step-by-step process of wood carving using a pocket knife, distributing handouts, and emphasizing safety precautions.
Following the carving session, Ahsan Qureshi demonstrated painting techniques, starting with a base coat and meticulously adding details to complete the artwork.
